Messing around on the Nissan website and came across this accessory for the Frontier pickup:
I had no idea people even stole airbags but i am now wondering if my VW airbags are safe from theivery!!

I guess if someone steals your airbag, they're probably also causing other damage to the vehicle. Might not be worth the $11 in that case.
Unless it's your mechanic that's not trustworthy... Madness.

I heard that this was happening when people took their cars in to get them serviced. When they crashed later, they found that their car was no longer equipped with airbags. My question is: how much does an airbag cost really? And if someone is stealing your airbag, wouldn't they probably have the specialized tools needed to bypass the lock?

Airbag theft and even an airbag maffia was all over the news here some time ago. These little fuckers are actually quite expensive.

I do believe they are very expensive.
